Question Odessa Texas Zombie Walk?

So i'm looking to start a Zombie walk in my hometown of Odessa Texas with a population of about 100,000, with surrounding cities with an accumalitve population of about another 200,000. Now i have no idea where to start and if i should even bother getting one started considering i'm unsure if anyone in my town is crazy like me and would bother dressing up and walking around town. i have many questions such as; do i need a permit? how do i get advertisement? is there anything besides walking that people can do? what is the turnout to be expected? how long do these things actually last? what's the best location to do a zombie walk? please if anyone can help me out i would greatly appreciate it. Thank You!!! i feel it necessary to point out that i've been wanting to start a Zombie Walk in Odessa for quite some time now.
