It's "Night of the Giving Dead", announced Eastern Shore Premiere Director Will Sanders of the "Zombie Walk" food drive coming up on October 2, 2009 celebrating the opening of Sony Picture's fright fest "Zombieland".

The event takes place at the Eastern Shore Centre in Spanish Fort, home of Alabama's newest cinema complex, Premiere's all-digital 14-screen flagship.

"Our Zombie Walk is free for all ages", Mr. Sanders said. "Although it's not required, we are asking all participants to bring a donation of canned food or other non-perishable food items for the Prodisee Pantry which will be on site collecting donations". Zombie walkers can also donate blood to the LifeSouth Blood Center.

All Zombies will meet at the designated Zombie make-up station, Moe's Southwestern Grill at 5:30 PM where there will be make-up and prizes. "Then around 6:30 PM after everyone is fully-Zombified, we will wonder our way through the Eastern Shore Centre to the Spanish Fort Premiere Cinema 14 to watch the world premiere of Zombieland", according to Mr. Sanders.

Movie tickets will be the regular price and available at the boxoffice or in advance on pccmovies.com. For more information and updates check out our Zombiewalk myspace @ www.myspace.com/spanishfortzombiewalk or follow us on twitter @ www.twitter.com/sfzombiewalk.

According to Mr. Sanders, a Zombie expert himself, a Zombiewalk (also known as a Zombie mob, Zombie march, Zombie horde, Zombie lurch, Zombie shamble, Zombie shuffle or Zombie crawl) is defined as an organized public gathering of people who dress up in Zombie costumes. This event usually takes place in an urban centre where participants make their way around city streets or shopping malls in a somewhat *****ly fashion, often limping their way towards a local cemetery, movie theatre or other public space.

"Zombies can come fully dressed in Zombie attire, usually old clothes you don't mind getting bloody because there's plenty of gore and gut goo that will likely end up on them", explains Sanders. Premiere is supplying make-up on-site for those who don't have any or just want more.

All ages are welcome. "It is a family-friendly event, like trick-or-treating", says Sanders. "It's more fun than scary", he assures, "and we expect one of the largest turnouts of Zombies in Alabama history for this event".

The following rules are to be observed by all Zombiewalkers:

1. All "Children Of The Dead" are to be accompanied by an Adult Zombie at all times.
2. Do not approach or touch anyone, especially small children, who may be frightened. Avoid confrontations.
3. No drugs, alcohol or other forms of Zombie vaccines to detract from the family fun.
4. Stay on sidewalks unless crossing streets.
5. No littering, destruction of property, or any other illegal or rude activity.
6. If you get in trouble, arrested, and or have your brains eaten by other Zombies, neither Premiere Cinemas or Eastern Shore Centre will be held liable for your indiscretions or misfortune. It's the code of Zombies to be responsible for their own actions.
7. Have Fun!
