PREPARE FOR THE APOCALYPSE! INFECTION SPREADS ACROSS ENTIRE STATE

ASBURY PARK - The risk of a biological pandemic remains real and is growing as the mysterious virus that was discovered last year becomes entrenched in more counties, health officials warned on Monday.

This yet-to-be explained contaminate has infected homes and businesses in much of Asbury Park as well as many surrounding cities. Experts fear it could mutate into an airborne form that passes easily from person to person, sparking an state-wide outbreak that could kill millions. Even in its current strains, the virus has infected close to 500 people--an astonishingly high number.

Quarantine efforts attempted to contain the virus near the source have all failed and at great cost. Public health officials and lab researchers are now engaged in a frantic battle to contain the escalating outbreak.

"The risk of a pandemic remains and is actually expanding," said Dr. Herbert West, a disease control expert at Jersey's Disease Prevention Center. The timing of a pandemic "remains speculative," he said, but figures have pointed to a likely date of OCTOBER 3RD, 2009, which is rapidly approaching.

ALL zombies need to arrive at Base Camp in the Carousel House to get a wristband. This helps us keep a body count (we want to be the largest on the east coast!) and gets YOU exclusive ********s, freebies and deals all over town. If you miss getting a wristband, you can get one at any time at Paranormal Books & Curiosities on Cookman Avenue. We also have an Official Zombie Guide for you, with a map, schedule and a list of exclusive zombie-only deals. Ample parking can be found directly in front of the Carousel House, and the Asbury Park NJ Transit Train Station is within walking distance (on Main Street).

Throughout the day, we'll have a special quarantine area devoted to local artists, film makers, authors and special guests. They'll be exhibiting their work, recruiting for projects, selling their merchandise, signing books and handing out cool free stuff. Beginning at 11:00AM, we'll host a variety of presentations by special effects masters, who will demonstrate the tricks of the trade and how to achieve movie-quality make-up. You won't want to miss out on this!

As a way to give back to the community (and apologize for all the mass slaughtering), The New Jersey Zombie Walk has partnered with blood banks to host a Zombie Blood Drive. Even though you may be deader than a door nail, you can give life to those in need. Lend a helping (undead) hand and donate for a great cause.

Default Thank you zombies!

1500 Zombies Descend on Asbury Park

Saturday, October 3rd saw the largest uprising of reanimated corpses ever reported on the east coast! The bodies just kept flooding in as the death toll climbed higher than ever before. We couldn't be happier!

We want to thank every body that crawled, shambled and lurched out to join us for the most incredible day of the undead. We walked through the city, taking thousands of victims by surprise and terrifying those in our path. The City of Asbury Park, Asbury businesses and Madison Marquette were fantastic supporters throughout the day and our Zombie Walk would not be possible without them. Please continue to show our hometown your love and respect, so they will welcome us back next year!

In addition to plaguing the city, we zombies helped raised tons of donations for the Central Jersey Blood Center, so major props go to those who gave blood (before it coagulated)! Your zombie blood is saving the lives of many future zombies-to-be-bitten.

We also have to say that this last walk proved we have the hardest working makeup team in the world. They toiled for hours and some even missed the walk to stay and makeover as many zombies as they could manage. You guys are our heroes! Our zombie walk wouldn't be half as great without you all: Ashley Vollo, Britni Orcutt, Cassie Zuccaro, Christina Moore, CJ Zoccali, Danielle Masterson, Doc Spookenstein, Fran Penzimer, Heather Mattia, Jeanne Casale, Jessica DePaul, Juan De Jesus, Kathy Vollo, Kristen Meehan, Lisa Penzimer, Lisa Louise, Michele Doughty, Mike Zuccaro, Mike Massiole, Pete Sathmary, Robert Bittner, Shakeema Simpson and Tony Mandile!

We also wanna give a shambling ovation to Katie and the Thriller Dance Group from Asbury Park Dance and Yoga for thrilling us with a knock out performance after the Zombie Walk. We looked great and had an absolute blast. If you missed out learning the Thriller dance, Katie is welcoming fresh blood on Halloween at 1PM (for free)!

After the walk we kept the mayhem rolling... Here's a special shout out to B Unique, who hosted our fabulous Zombie Beauty Pageant! Congrats to the winners! And we can't forget Munch for making all those delicious jello brains for the brain eating contest. Our two champions really scarfed them down! After the brain feast, Paranormal Books & Curiosities really brought the house down with their Zombie Karaoke Bash and Asbury Lanes kept us rocking long after with bands, booze and bowling aplenty. Thanks from every single one of our undead hearts!

Finally we have to give a great big bloody thanks to everyone on our street team, our volunteers, and our event staff. Without all of your hard work and enthusiasm we never would have pulled this off or gathered so many undead!

We hope everyone had just as incredible a time as we did. We've spent the last seven months of our lives planning and working around the clock to make this happen. The sacrifice was well worth it when we see the hundreds of happy zombie pictures pouring in. Please keep uploading them to our website so we can keep sharing the day with everyone!!!
For directions on how to send us photos click here.

Many, many thanks and hope to see you all next year!

I cant help but point out your contradiction here. You first say the B&B is less intelligent than Trash Talk. Yet in the very next sentence you say Trash Talk is less intelligent than than Just Chat and the B&B. How can both of them be less intelligent than the other? To use some big math words, the less intelligent relation is not symmetric
