We absolutely need a zombie walk in L.A. soon. Like, hopefully in June, or maybe early July. Hollywood, somewhere, is good. Anyway, I think this has to be done. Anybody know what to do here?

Well, you could all come be NPC zombies in my game. That would give you a chance to meet together and make plans, all while having a good time and dressing out zombie-style.
See the other thread for more details, if you're interested.

Probably 3pm-ish? I can see it now, start at some point on Hollywood Blvd, turn down La Brea, towards Melrose, maybe have the Zombie army stop at Pinks and get some Hot Dogs, funny image, I think. Then walk down Melrose tilll I don't know when? Or maybe walk up Melrose? I don't really know much of LA besides those areas.

Beverly Hills could also be fun, nothing more entertaining than frightening people driving Bentley's and BMWs.
Anyone have any ideas? Anyone want to set up a website or a MySpace about this event?

I just added you. I'm definately up if we can get more people there... my friend and I, and you, I don't think 3 zombies would be as entertaining as 20+... If we could get a whole army of zombies, even better!

okay, so 3 pm, june 20th, and we meet at the metro station on hollywood and western, and we can work out where to go from there. or, does hollywood and vine sound better? i figure people will probably show up late, so 3 is a good place to start, but people shouldn't get there later than 3:40. okay, tell me if you guys think this sounds good and i'll draw up a flyer, post some bulletins, and post it as an event.

I'll be there with several friends.
Either location is fine, but someone should decide on one just so the plan is set. As soon as everything is set in stone, I'll start telling everyone.

alright, cool. well, even if the other people don't respond, we can probably get enough people. word of mouth might do us well.

okay, well,i say hollywood/westen. that's the one across from the frolic room, and it's a bigger, more open space, where more people can converge. done and done. if you have a myspace, come find me. myspace.com/withasixgun. i'll have the flyers out to everyone i can get to by the end of the day.

Make a MySpace page or event, and when the flyer is made, share it so we can start printing and posting.

I'm definitely down for a zombie walk soon, I personally thing we would be more well handled down in venice/ santa monica, the promenade would have a blast with us... the more upscale the place we go, the more shunned out we would be. I know we could also possibly get some of the local cycling groups, and many others to come eat brains with us. Hollywood would be fun, but I dare say we would just blend in to much there. Also, I am more up f or a weekend walk, I have very long workday hours, (10-16 hr shifts) and It would be difficult to get a day off. I know that holds true for many potential zombies I could bring.

I think those areas would be GREAT! There's not too much room for us to walk through Santa Monica Promenade and I believe Venice has been done in 2006......weekends work best for most people. We just gotta advertise the SHIT out of it so we can get a large group together. Let's set a date for a weekend walk!

okay, early on, when i asked for help, when i asked for suggestions, the two or three people that actually gave them made a concensus about the date and time and place. tons of flyers have been passed out, put on cars, and left places. so, the next time there's a zombie walk, it can be at 7:00 pm on a saturday night on 3rd street promenade, and i'll go, and i'll be in full costume. but until then, this is what's happening. this is the current zombie walk.

I understand that....I'm not "dissing" your walk hun! lol. I just can't make it, like many of us.
It's just a bit more convenient for most to do weekends so we don't have to miss a day of work.
I don't have summer vacation.

oh, no, i didn't mean to sound mean. i'm ALWAYS down for another zombie walk. i just don't want to convalute the date or time and have somebody think we switched this one around. just wanna make sure everything goes smoothly...until we wreak some zombie mayhem.

just so you know, mr kinda rude.. I wanted to post about this before the san fran walk, but I wasn't on the boards, and it took forever to g et approval, I said weekend, because I can get you damn near 50 people. AND it targets the right time crowed. As for why i said the prominade or venice, did you by any chance pay attention to the san fran recent? they were not allowed most places, its the same environment, and as for grime streets it self, you already have people dressed up like tin men there, along with robots, ect.. you wont stand out nearly as much.. its hollywood, people will just think its a shoot. sides, not everyone participating is a kid, we all have real work, real jobs, real commitments. YES i do remember the specified time frames, I watched those people post that "oh my friends in town"and "i could do it if its a x time" thats great, you got 2-4 people. Id do a zombie week if it would be pulled off, appearing in random major hot spots all throughout los angeles, throughout the entire week, downtown la, culver, hollywood, santa monica, you name it, then it actually IS like a breakout, not just a 1 day fun fling. Also, if your going to do fliers, you should probably post EXACTLY what it says, so everyone can make the same mimicking fliers, and post elsewhere. And I do apologize for the out bust, but you were a tad out of line yourself, and I have no intention of retaliating. But you shouldn't be so possessive over the walk, you kinda ruin the fun/and point of it.

yeah, we'll i've never planned a walk before, and i asked for help, and whoever gave it to me is what was decided upon. I HAVE NEVER DONE IT BEFORE. EVER. so perhaps ranting and raving about how shitty a wednesday walk is would have helped me out a little more then. sorry my terrible planning skills have ruined this for you. it does me no good now to complain after the fact. think before you call someone rude, if you're gonna do something rude in the first place.
