The walk is still on and judging from the response on myspace, things are going to be awesome. If anyone is wanting to do it later than 3/4 pm PLEASE speak up! If later will get more zombies there, that's what we want!!!

I've got the time off work, so it's going to be all good for me. If anyone lives in the Simi Valley or Northridge or round-abouts area and you need a ride, I got three spaces in my car. All I ask is like $5 for gas and help paying for the parking. :) Send me an email at isis(dot)orchid(at)gmail(dot)com! :)

Hey, how'd it go?

I couldn't make it and I'm really excited to hear how it went. :D

Hi

I got a group of my friends to go, but we showed up late, around 30 minutes past the start time (it was our first walk, so we were slow in the clothes/makeup dept.). We sent our non-zombie friend ahead of us to look for the other undead, but we lost him (eaten?).

So we went ahead and shuffled the walk on our own...all seven of us. We met up with one other guy, who was here with a UCLA teacher documenting the walk for a possible documentary/book on zombie walks (she was at the big Hollywood one).

Eight total.

We got four main reactions from the crowd:

1. Ignored us
2. Yelled "Halloween was last week!"
3. Took a picture or five.
4. Called out: "It's the living dead!" and then took a picture or five.

There were TONS of cameras out! I have not had my pic taken more often, even when I impersonate Spider Jerusalem for San Diego ComicCon.

Venice Paparrazzi got a few of us here (http://www.printroom.com/ViewGalleryPhoto.asp?shopperid=967UM8GBC27J8HFFB0F 242UJMUCC4JSF&userid=edizens&gallery_id=553896&image_id=228). We are pictures 215-229.

It was fun, but I wish there were more zombies!

Erin, the organizer, was near death, but hadn't "turned" yet (she was sick, couldn't zombie).

Only eight people? Damn... well, I kinda figured that would happen. Doing a zombie walk right after Halloween just doesn't seem right. By that time people are "done" with the whole Halloween thing and I can't see most of them being motivated to come out and do a Zombie Walk. You either gotta do it in October or much, much later on down the road. Oh well, there's always next year.

Kudos to the few of you who did actually go though...

Woohoo for Spider representation. Perhaps I've seen you or even have a pic of you in my past Comic-Con pictures. :D

And man do I ever know what you mean when it comes to the cameras at zombie walks. I've never had so many cameras jump out of nowhere, get in my face, flash a few pictures, and disappear just as quickly.

Best part, though... did they talk about you right in front of you? I've always been pleased when that happens. Like a person would be a couple feet from you and talking about you like, "Hey, he's good! Get a picture of him!" or point at you in awe.

But I'm lame.

Hope you guys had fun on your first time.
