Since I can't really make it to any in the next couple months, I voted Easter.

Actually, Easter is just too perfect. I mean, Christ was a zombie, it's only too perfect. Even if the Venice one doesn't happen then, could we possibly plan one for then?

Totally! You could even plan it! Scout out a location, a route, time of day and date... This democracy thing isn't working out, so do like ooeeoo did and just plan it and inform people (then they could take it or leave it)! :D

Hooray! An assignment!

Now the question is, what areas have the most Easter Sunday activity? Hmmmm... need to find the highest concentration of Home Town Buffets.

Hmm find a church that has a big to-do about it. I don't typically like harassing people, but well, it's fun! Haha... I'm actually thinking Santa Monica would be excellent for this, but that city has already been shot down for poor parking. If anyone wants to make the commute Santa Barbara would be muy bueno as well.

I actually was thinking about the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica which is surrounded by parking garages that have a $3 flat rate after 5 or 6 p.m. But I'll have to do a little research. 8)

I offered the promenade for this walk and it was shot down almost immediately by mockery. :( I'd love to have a walk at the promenade! I hope you can get it going!

I see. Mockery is pretty experienced and knowledgable about these things.

I figured considering the high amount of street performers and quirky stores and people, it would be downright amusing to the Promenade goers.

Just gotta think of a good route through there and a parking plan. Hell, I'm sure there are several stores there who might take the zombie activity as a boon, especially seeing as stores there are big enough to accomodate our horde (B*****s, Barnes & Noble, etc).

Maybe work in the Santa Monica pier since it's within walking distance?

As I stated before:

Problem with the third street promenade is that it's not nearly as much walking distance for us to cover as there is at Venice Beach. And maybe it's just me, but parking always seemed like more of a hassle around the promenade.
If you're able to include more areas than just the small Promenade spot (which honestly, would take up maybe 15-20 minutes of walking time MAX), then it might be worth doing a walk around there. But if the only thing you're gonna do is walk around the Promenade, I'd say it's too small of a location for it to be worth everybody's time getting all zombified and driving out there.

Also, the voting thing clearly isn't working, so I'm gonna think about when a good time to do the Venice Beach walk will be and I'll get back to you guys. Might put off that particular walk for a while or we might do it in November. I'll keep ya posted.

There were three technical votes for November 5. Why not just do it then, since while the voting was good, that's the date most voted for?

Another vote for the 5th, as it give everyone time to get the word out. Its not a far walk from the promenade to anywhere else around there. There is always plenty of parking around there as well, especially during november.

Works for me!
