Last year we had a bunch of people come with buckets of blood, makeup, and good ol' baby powder for that "dusty" look.
Can you make us look "dead-er" without actually killing anyone?
If you can, let us know when you sign up!

Yeah, many of the participants will be bringing cameras.
Let's hope everyone walking will remember to be zombies more than photographers during the event.
I can assure you that we will have enough other people recording the event and that there will be a public gallery for all.
So if you're undead, stay undead as much as possible.

I'm so happy I found out about this! I was gonna see if I could see if I could start one in VA Beach, but then I found out about this one. I'm going to try to spread this around in Norfolk and VA Beach like wild fire. Be prepared to be bombarded by the restless. Visit Restless Bodies (www.myspace.com/restlessbodies) in VA Beach !

Posting flyers everywhere! :D
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.............. I could take pictures while I wait to be eaten (: (and put the camera in my bag while being eaten) hmm.... that makes the costume decision easier because I have to be at least present day. I'm thinking either normal-as-possible-girly-girl or a goth who idolizes the zombies and then is terrrofied when they come to eat her :D The only problem with goth is that blood doesn't show up well on black ):
Yeah....I'm liking this getting eaten idea....... How realistically can I scream without disturbing the public?

Do we have any way to heat up water?
When we were being zombie extras, they mixed up plain geletin--really hot water (even just hot tap water) with the powder, toss in some small nuts, cereal (grape nuts, corn flakes, etc) for texture, paint it on and let it dry then paint over it. GREAT rotting flesh look and as the day goes on it if you pick at it it'll start to peel like your flesh is falling off!
I'm all for greens rather than whites in terms of dead-looking coloring. Greens and some blues, maybe a whole lot of blues if you're a drowned zombie.

How did you determine when, where, and how long to make the Walk? I mean, how long IS a walk supposed to be? (Time or length.)

Last year it was maybe a grand total of two hours (including the meet up and all the driving), but we lost about half of our nearly 100 zombies after our initial walk up and down the length of Carytown. After that a group of us hit up Grace Street, where they just happened to be having a street festival, and then we went around on the VCU campus over by the library a bit. So really you can stay for as much as you like, but don't expect it to really be THAT long.
Hell, walking around like an undead gets tiring pretty fast, as a lot of us discovered. My feet were sore the next day from all the "dragging" I did!

Hey all-
Just joined the boards and I have to say, this is pretty damn interesting. When does this Zombie walk generally take place? I'm a local film maker currently working on a GHOSTBUSTERS fan film. We've yet to begin filming, but upon discovering this I was kind of interested in incorporating SOME sort of zombie scene into the film, even if just briefly durring the montage. I just wanted to take advantage of SO MANY zombies in one place at the same time.Plus I've seen SOME interest in zombie hunters for this year possibly...thought it would add a nice touch. Is anyone particularly interested? For more info on my film visit www.freewebs.com/gbh3llbent If when you visit it, it's down, that's because we will currently be undergoing some changes. Thanks, and I hope this all pans out in VA this year.

Hey all-
It has been aparent tha there is'nt ny REAL room for a Ghostbuster in this event..aside from a zombie buster which I really want to do, but unfortunantly I have to work. If at all possible, I was wondering (if I can get there) If I could show up to this thing just for a few minutes to shoot footage for a montage for my film. Everyone in the sequence, only lasting about 30 seoncd if that, will get their name in the films ******s. For more information on the film please visit www.freewebs.com/gbh3llbent Please excuse our crappy site...it's under maintanance. Please let me know. Thank You.
