Alright, I live in Northern Kentucky, and I've been wanting to put together a Zombie Walk... and for the longest time. Now, if I can get enough people in the area to do it, I need to know if I need to go to the city building or anything... My question is... if I do a zombie walk, what are the chances of a police officer saying I'm not allowed, and sending everyone home because it's a disturbance?

I'm really looking forward to doing this this year, I'm just worried about what all I have to do to put it together...

So do I really need to get any kind of license or permit to do it? Or go to the city building or anything?

These may sound like stupid questions, I'd just rather be safe than sorry, and ruin it for everyone else... :) Thanks Court

I'd say you have strength in numbers. Also keep to public streets for the first part of the mob, so if you get hassled later for going interesting places you will at least have had some fun first.

If police are watching, maybe have everyone tone it down a bit, stop running out at cars and stuff. But try to show them that you're putting on a show for the public instead of intimidating or harassing them. There's a fine line between performance art and public annoyance.

Don't stay in one place too long, and spread the mob out over a city block. That will make you tough to intercept and pin down.

And plan it so that the event runs itself without a leader. The first thing an officer will ask is "who's running the show". Anyone in the mob should answer one of two ways: 1. BRAAAAINS! 2. I Don't Know
In my experience the police have just given up and let us do our thing.
