ZOMBIEWALK in Montréal?

Hello out there!
Any Montréalers interested in a zombiewalk?
Or has one previously been organized? I'm thinking about setting one up for this halloween or 2007.

Shopping Spree of the Dead!

« What are they doing? Why are they coming here? »
« It’s a kind of… instinct. Memory… of what they used to do. This was an important place for them… »
« They are us. That’s all. When there is no more room in hell, the dead shall go shopping ».

They are back! Zombies have invaded Montreal’s commercial core. Dumbfounded Shoppers are terror-stricken! Here and there, the undead are moaning, tripping over themselves and aimlessly dragging their sorry carcasses. A few lonely ghouls just a moment ago, they seem to be multiplying; dozens of famished creatures now roam the plaza. They are hungry! But they can’t find anything, not a single brain around to satisfy their freakish appetite! The consumer trance has rotted away their usual feed. The horror! The horror! Nothing can distinguish de dead from the living! Such a sad spectacle: the living dead stumbling through the flashy splendour and kitsch décor of a falsely happy Christmas. This will all end badly…

Here is a preview of what COULD happen when the undead congregate:

- Zombies scatter among the crowd chaotically…
- Zombies move in small groups along the streets…
- Zombies follow the hordes of shoppers along over crowded sidewalks…
- Zombies disrupt traffic…
- Zombies get some cash from the cash dispenser…
- Zombies visit a franchise of their favourite fast-food joint…
- Zombies shop around for a nice holiday kit…
- Zombies wander in the mall…
- Zombies decompose…
- Zombies smudge everything on their path…
- Zombies stay eerily still in strange places…
- Zombies get stuck in escalators…
- Zombies moan Christmas carols…
- Zombies are harassed by security people…
- Zombies pay a visit to a local police station…
- Each Zombie is responsible for its own actions…

I was in Trois-Rivières for a Zombie Walk not so long ago. In Montreal, with "La grande Mascarade", "Spasm Festival" and tons of other activites, there's got to be a way to organise a huge Zombie Walk.

Hey, I just did the Ottawa Zombie Walk; One person estimated 450 zombies...
I'm in Montreal on 21st... y'all should do it then so I can do another zombie walk..
Seriously great... Walking up to parliament amongst moans and groans and cries of "no brains!"...

So, theres a group on facebook announcing a zombie walk in montreal on saturday the 27th, starting at 3pm at the statue on mt-royal (where the tam-tams usually are) you can search i in the facebook groups. let's make this big folks! i was just at the ottawa one, and there were at LEAST 300 people there! lets do a few better!

i really want to do this, i want to know the exact date and where, do we really want to do this at the tam tam's.. is desolated, lets go straight downtown hit the eaton center and walk the underground mall!!!!

THE ROUTE:
We will meet up at Mount Royal Parc. Specifically the big statue (the Sir Georges-Etienne-Cartier Monument). Be there for 2:30.
Walk starts at 3:00PM
We go through some of the paths and walk down Avenue Mount Royal Ouest towards the east
Turn Left at Rue Drolet. Keep in mind we'll be going against traffic.
Left on Rue Villeneuve Est
Right on Rue St Dominique
Left on Avenue Laurier Est
Left on Avenue Du Parc
Right on Voie Camillien Houde

Then we find our way to Mount Royal Cemetary!
