Hey all...there is a Zombie Walk going down in my hometown of Brisbane Australia on Sunday April 2. For more details if anyone by some uncanny chance lives in Brisbane check out www.brisbanezombiewalk.tk
I'm taking particular interesting in the zombie walk because I am a lazy ass and see it not only as an excuse to get dressed up as a zombie (my preference is prom night zombie...i have a lovely blood splattered and torn blue sequin and satin 80s number) but also do university assessment.
I'm a journalism student here in Brisbane at a questionable institution called the University of Queensland. I plan to document the Brisbane zombie walk as part of assessment for a class I'm doing called NewSpace where we publish news stories tailored for a particular group / audience via our school's NewSpace website. So I have to pinpoint a group internationally and I thought what better than my fellow undead than the zombiewalk community. I plan to publish video, photo and audio of the Brisbane event. But before I get down to business with all that, I have to survey (terribly boring i know) community members about what their "news needs" are - basically, what is it that you want to know, who do you want interviewed, and what medium (i.e. online video, podcasting, text etc). I'm going to be doing 2 pieces - one of Brisbane's zombie walk and another on a topic I'm yet to find out because I want to know what you guys want to hear about ... zombie makeup tips? interviews with organisers of events? people who actually genuinely believe their zombies?
If anyone would like to help me with this please let me know. All I need you to do is to fill out a super quick survey and tell me which City, State and Country you live in. Too easy!
