I'm more than sure that this is way too far in advanced, but Its just eating away at me: Has anyone thought of what to do in Boise for 2010? I know that me and a few friends of mine will totally show if it gets organized, but a few people doesn't make for much of an invasion, now does it? Heck! we don't even have to do it in October. Idaho is a borring state and I say: the More zombie Invasions the Better! any one interested? I honestly believe that if we figure this out now instead of sometime like.. Novermber We could organize the best Zombie Walk Idaho has EVER SEEN! Who's with me?!

I'M WITH YOU! WOO! I have the greatest makeup tutorials and everything! I think about the Zombie Walk every day of the year! Definitely showing EVERY year. October sounds best, though...just not Halloween. I have WAY too much stuff going on then, anyway. It's seriously boring here, and we need more zombies! Last zombie walk was WAY too fast! We need to drag on slower. Zombies are NEVER that fast! I still need to find some cool clothes, though...hm. Let us plan!
Omg!!!! I would totally do this we need to plan quick though cause this would be so freakin cool!!!!! Ill get some people to do it too!!!!

Yes yes and yes. Agreed. October is best, Halloween... With everything else going on, it just wouldn't be... as fun, I think. Maybe.. towards the begining or middle of october? It doesn't seem like they have anything (so far as I can see) up on the Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1799743836&ref=name#!/group.php?gid=10849659924&ref=ts) Half. As for organizing the whole thing, I think thats something that would have to be discussed with a wide variety of people. How many people can we count on? Where do we start, and finish? How long should we go, and the such. Perhaps we can even attempt to organize something with a few buisness owners to allow us to mob windows--highly unlikily with all the fake blood we should be possessing, but you never know. Either way, it'll be quite the project, for sure.
Aside from that, There are probably some basics that we need to keep in mind:
==Zombies are fun, but we should keep it clean, Just a bit. I love scaring the crap out of people as much as the next oh-so-spooky-pants girl, but giving young children nightmares for their rest of their lives (albeit fun if you know them) is not what we probably want to do.
==Subversion Through Politeness! We may be zombies but manners are something to remember. Zombies were people too. We don't have to act like a bunch of nut-job-drunken idiots.
==Just keep it fun, thats all this is about, right?
^^^^^^That should all go without saying. ^^^^^^
Any objections, comments, complaints, Brains, from the Jury?

Nah, not on Halloween. People probably have a ton of different plans to choose from on Halloween. Let's not throw the Zombie Walk into the mix. XD
Anyway, we got to mob windows last time, and that was fun. I didn't hear of anything bad happening that would prevent us from doing anything like that again. The business owners didn't seem to mind the fake blood. Heck, we even swarmed cars. I still think we should walk SLOW this time! XD zombies don't walk like normal humans. People were RUNNING last time! People didn't really have their little kids there, and if they did, they were either too young to know what was going on or they actually liked zombies. But yes, everyone should be polite.

Yes. Slow is key. let us not turn my name into reality. ZOMbies. not ZOOMbies. XD Ah yes! Now we just need to know where to get these oodles of lovely blood. As for the children aspect... you are quite right, most youngsters probably won't be out as late as we will be. Now, here comes the bigger question, What place would be easiest to gather a bunch fo zombies, and then we have to map out a route. A start to finish sort of thing, or perhaps we can do a loop, and then on the second turn around, we go to an end destiation? And would this be a long thing like, all throuh the down-town area, or just a very small part of it? Such as, the area around the Knitting Factory, or something a bit larger that would include the capital building? I would Love to swarm the capital building.
As a second note, Links. Links links links. Tutorials, make-up, clothing, Whatever you think would work. I know there are TONS of those around here somewhere, but, perhaps concentrating what you all suggest here would be a bit of a help for those of the Idaho realm?

Yeah, seriously. Fake blood is VERY hard to get. I tried getting one around the time of the zombie walk last year, and it was $40 for one gallon! It's insanity. I recommend finding recipes you can make with household items. They are usually made out of corn syrup, red food dye (LOTS OF IT) and water or some combination of the sort. Yeah, I'm thinking a route like last year, but probably larger. However, it'd be best if none of us got lost. And let's make sure we're all at the end destination before the concerts/celebrations/whatever start. I got there pretty late last year, and there was no food like people said there'd be. I missed the first part of the dancing and concerts and stuff and the place we had to stand to watch was terrible. Yeah, swarming the capitol building would be great! Yeah, I'll go see if I can't find my makeup tutorial.

Absolutely. I'll see what I can dig up for fake blood and make-up suches if you would be so kind, Jack, Dearest, to set up a plausible route? I can think of three people that I Know would show, but what about anyone else? This will need much organizing and much more people to make this fit. Yes, getting lost is no fun at all. If we go at --relatively-- the same pace, I do believe that what-ever is decided for end funners will go off without too much trouble. *secretly plans random outbreak of Thriller Dancing* Now, The end event, (where-ever that is decided upon) There is the 'when do we get there' and 'what will it have' Food, no food? Concert, possibly? If We want to go to the latter route, I can MAYBE Talk with a few friends (and mum's co-workers) and get maybe two people there, if not three--If I can somehow get in touch with a long-standing family friend. But those in and of themselves would be tricky to get and would take a LOT more information about what we're doing for the walk before I would feel confident about asking to do that. If we DO end up doing the plausible concert route, Would it be better to have it in an open area, or perhaps do some toggling and asking (and very much in depth and highly-unlikely, High stakes, much luck wishing and getting through involving money) About a possible indoor concert with all the zombies--Knitting Factory, perhaps? But that would be quite a bit of trouble to organize... what are your thoughts?

Well, for me to set up a route, I need a really good map. And everything we do here has to be seen and approved by the people who run the show (whoever they are) and the people who go to these walks. Yeah, everyone should really try to go the same pace. We start at a certain time, go our route, and just end whenever we all finish. I think it'd be nice if every participant that could would bring some food to set up a designated end location so all of us could eat when we finish. Have some zombie-themed entertainment afterwards. Movies, music, dancing, etc. If we could find people that have equipment or whatever and just set up a bunch of fun end stuff. It'd also be a cool idea to do a "Best Zombie" contest. Who went all out? Who's the most original? Yeah, I'm not sure an indoor one would work unless a zombie knew the right people to ask. Last time, it was in an open area. There should also be PLENTY of seating. We don't want people in the back who can't see a thing. Or people who are forced to stand!

Exact point, My Friend. A link on the facebook half should help out quite a bit, don't you think? Open area does sound a bit better. And Having the whole 'best zombie' thing might be fun, prompting people to do their best at... what-ever, really. I think it'll draw out some of that inner flesh-eating we're looking for. Most certainly. As for asking about bringing things, Agreed. Though, That might require it to just loop back to the begining. I don't believe a lot of people are going to want to drive back and forth, to one place to drop off food, drive back to the walk, walk to the food, and then walk back to a car. That might be just a bit much for some people. Especially for those that decide it would be a good idea to bring along small children. As for the maping, I found Google Maps can actually be quite helpful on that account.

Yeah. So would more people on this thread. What happened to everyone? I think a lot more people who enjoy the zombie walk here in Idaho should be on the site. XD would be helpful. Yeah, open area does sound better. Exactly, it would really inspire people to go all out. Problem is: prizes. Maybe a zombie movie on DVD? A CD of zombie songs (actually, I like that idea...)? Yeah, the route should definitely be a giant loop. Bring food to the drop-off area. Start the walk when there's enough people there. Do the loop one or two times, depending on the size of the loop. Let the end fun stuff begin. After a while, people start to leave. Volunteer zombies stay behind to help with cleanup and such. I'll see what I can do with Google Maps. It's just that MapQuest tends to suck with stuff like that.

Ah! Excelent! there are many great and lovely tutorials out there. Unfortunately, some are not as well written (or directed, as some cases may be) as others. Can't wait to see the costume, Love! It most certainly will be a lovely sight to see! C:<
