so i read off wiki that the largest zombie walk was 897 people or something close to that. 800's at least. but i was wondering what the LONGEST zombie walk was? would anyone have that information? because me a couple other people are thinking about trying to beat that. i'm sure its gonna be quite a distance but i'm more than willing to limp, stumble and crawl that far for the good of zombies everywhere.

The best source of information on that is

On July 3, 2009, a zombie walk organized by Fremont Outdoor Movies in Seattle, Washington beat all previous zombie walk records. Guinness World Records officially recorded 3,894 zombies at the 'Red, White and Dead Zombie Party' event,[30] though local news claimed 4,277 participants.[31][32]
In October 2009 Guinness World Records officially recorded and approved a new record for the largest gathering of zombies.
The record was set at ‘The Big Chill Festival’ in Ledbury, Herefordshire, UK on August 6, 2009. There were 4,026 zombie mob participants.[33]
On October 30, 2009, zombie walkers in Grand Rapids, Michigan attempted a second run at the zombie mob world record. An estimated 8,000 participates braved rainy weather to gather in Calder Plaza outside of Grand Rapids's City and County buildings. The event was coordinated by Rob Bliss, organizer of Grand Rapids' first zombie walk. Approximately forty to fifty volunteers collected signatures from the crowd. The record is currently unverified by Guinness World Records.[34]
We shattered the old world record of 897 in Fremont, Washington. Guinness World Records brought both Ryan Reiter myself, Eric Pope, to San Diego Comic Con to receive the certificate which now hangs proudly at Fremont Outdoor Cinemas.

A few short months later Big Chill Festival broke that record by a small number and honestly it was a pretty lame excuse for a zombie event. It was not a walk, just a rave where they slapped on some zombie makeup. In my years of hosting zombie walks, the thrill is 'acting' like a zombie and surprising people who have no idea whats going on. To shamble through the streets and pretend to be in a zombie horde. Long story short they had a rave where everyone wore face paint. Good for them if they had fun.. just not a zombie walk.
However my zombie Brother Rob Bliss over in Grand Rapids Michigan, if they get it then bravo! I tip my hat to you good sir, Checking out the pictures from the event it looks like they really brought the zombie horde and know how its done. If they get the record they deserve it.
As for the rest of my zombie brothers and sisters.. It isn't about the record or getting numbers. The best zombie walks are when we bring our zombie 'game face' to the streets. Staying in character, shuffling around and surprising society out of its normal boring state of existence. I love packing 15 zombies into an elevator and then lunge out in a scary groan to anyone waiting on a different floor. Watching dozens of bystanders taking photos on their cellphones, lunging at those who giggle and smile at the zombie horde. To hell with the record, enjoy your walks and bring the zombie horde to your city wherever you are at.
