The Linda WAMC’s Performing Arts Studio announces the second annual Zombie film festival: Zombie Film Feast II October 23rd through 25th at The Linda. Its back! It’s bigger and there’s lots more brains! After last year’s response to the first feast, The Linda has reanimated our Zombie Film Festival. This year includes over 10 films including the regional premiere of I Sell The Dead starring Dominic Monaghan (Lord Of The Rings, Lost) Ron Perlman (Hell Boy, Sons of Anarchy) and classics like Peter Jackson’s Brain Dead and back to back remakes featuring George Ramiro’s Dawn of the Dead immediately followed by the 2004 Zack Snyder remake. This year we present “The Game Crazy Zombie Slayer Gaming Vault” tucked away in an actual bank vault still preserved at The Linda. Over the three days, gamers will compete playing Left 4 Dead for the top three slots and a fourth wildcard spot culminating in a final four big screen Zombie slay-off. Prizes for the winners; brains for the losers; all sponsored by Game Crazy. Also featured will be the Zombie slayer games, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, House of the Dead: Over Kill, and Dead Rising. Saturday night the dead dance to the sounds of the local undead Zombie Bomb and your local hard rock station, 104.9 The New Edge at the Zombie Prom with part of the proceeds going to support The Hellions of Troy Roller Derby Team. Someone or something will be crowned the King and Queen with prizes and a coronation. Of course the traditional brain eating competition returns and Albany’s first Zombie walk from Lark Street to The Linda and will include a Zombie dance off in The Linda parking lot to Michael Jackson’s Thriller.
