Like most great ideas, this one came during a night of heavy drinking.

The newest and most probable idea for the Tempe Zombie Walk is to have it... GASP!... on the light rail! Until further notice, we will be moving the walk from Xtreme Bean to downtown Tempe where we can all shuffle onto the light rail in chaotic fashion. I'll be speaking with the City of Phoenix and the City of Tempe so we can make this happen.

Note: The Tempe Zombie Walk is still scheduled for Halloween from 7 to 8 pm.

Hey! This walk sounds great. I wonder if anyone is selling Zombie merch at the event. I work for Black Dog & Leventhal Publishers, and we're putting out a gruesomely awesome Zombie book called Zombies, Encounters with the Hungry Dead by John Skipp. It is an anthology that explores the history of zombie fiction to find 32 new and classic stories from renowned and up-and-coming writers of horror and fantasy, including Max Brooks, Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, Robert Bloch, and Robert R. McCammon. If you're not selling merch at the event, perhaps I can send you a sample of the book to give away to the most terrifying zombie! Please send me your info if you're interested! I can be reached here or by email at allison@bdlev.com.

Many thanks zombie friends!
