It's that time of year again...

When the dogs bark, the children scream and the dead walk.

ZOMBIE MARCH 2008 is coming!

On SATURDAY MAY 24th the living dead shall rise and they want you to JOIN THEM.

So grab your ripped up t-shirt, mix some carob syrup with food coloring, and put your walking shoes on. This 100% FREE march is an Orlando tradition and the chance for ALL zombie enthusiasts to come together, have some laughs, scare some "living" and enjoy the summer air.

We welcome anyone to join in. Any age, race or background. There is no costume requirement so feel free to do as much or as little as you would like. We love to see the variety of costumes and the different spins on the zombie character.

This year is going to be the best march yet. Zombie-mania is running wild and our goal is to double the impressive 100+ zombies we had at last years March.

Here is the info you need:

MARCH #1 (Park Avenue)
3:00pm - The Park Avenue Zombie March steps off. We shall meet at the entrance of Rollins College on the corner of PARK and ALOMA (by the 7-11). From there we shall terrorize the Park Ave shopping district. Once we reach the gazebo we'll return to Rollins. The March will take 45 - 60 minutes.

MARCH #2 (Downtown)
5:00pm - The Downtown March lurks forward. We shall meet at the Lake Eola Gazebo on the corner of EOLA and ROBINSON (by the Panera Bread). From there we shall walk along the lake front and into Downtown. We shall head down towards Church, back up Orange and finally back to Lake Eola. The March will take 60 - 75 minutes.

After each March we shall pose for pictures, including our overall group picture at the end of the Downtown March. So bring your cameras!

Other stuff:

1. Although the Rich Weirdos are organizing this event they do not assume any responsibility for the actions of individuals. Zombies shall follow ALL laws without exception. This includes jay walking, public drunkenness, harassment, and destruction of property. Behave as you would normally in respect to the law or we will notify the authorities ourselves.

2. Makeup shall not be provided. Each participant is responsible for their own costume. Easy costume ideas are available online and thrift stores are great sources for zombie clothes.

3. This March is a Rich Weirdoes event. The Rich Weirdoes is Orlando's premiere shadowcast acting troupe. They are not affiliated with Zombie Crawl, Screamfest, or Zombie Friends. Although they are invited to participate.

4. For more info about Orlando's Zombie March, the Rich Weirdoes or the Rocky Horror Picture Show please visit our website at www.richweirdoes.com.

Are you dead?

Were you dead?

Will you be dead?

If you answered 'YES' or simply groaned 'BRAINS' then you are invited!

On SATURDAY MAY 24th (Memorial Day Weekend)

Grab your ripped up clothes, cover yourself in stage blood and join us for 2 fantastic marches around Orlando.

The first March will see zombies taking over the upper class shopping district along Park Avenue. Groan and growl as we lurch past wine and cigar shops, scaring the high brows.

3:00 PM - Meet at the corner of PARK AVE and FAIRBANKS AVE near the entrance of Rollins College.

The second March will lead the dead around beautiful bird infested Lake Eola. The Zombies will then take to the streets of Downtown Orlando. Eating the brains of all those who dare to visit the public library or show up at a nightclub so early in the afternoon.

5:00 PM - Meet at the corner of EOLA AVE and ROBINSON ST near the pagoda.

Attend one March or show real Zombie pride by attending both!

This event is completely FREE and more importantly, completely LEGAL. Just be sure to conduct yourself properly. Being dead is no excuse to harass people, deface property or drink in public. You are responsible for your own actions.

LURCH SAFELY!!

So tell all your friends! Bring out your kids and family! All are welcome and encouraged to have as much fun with the zombie concept as possible.

We love to see variety and even zombie survivors and hunters!

SEE YOU THERE AND BRAINS!!!!!!!!!
