Hello,
On behalf of the current Guinness World Record holders for World's Largest Zombie Walk - held at the Monroeville Mall in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - we invite you to be part of history by participating in World Zombie Day on Sunday, October 26, 2008.
We are hoping to get commitments from cities worldwide to make World Zombie Day a success and help combat hunger by organizing food drives as part of the zombie walks.
World Zombie Day will be one of the events taking place as part of The It’s Alive! 2008 Zombie Fest, a two-day convention with activities geared to the zombie and horror fan.
Cities choosing to participate in World Zombie Day will be mentioned in all press releases and publicity WZD. Our zombie walks have generated news coverage nationwide and worldwide. We intend to apply to Guinness for a world record which will be shared by all cities participating. We will be happy to provide you with press release templates for your local media, tips for a successful zombie walk, assistance with contacting your local food bank charity and forms needed to document your attendance.
World Zombie Day is being organized by Mark Menold, producer and host of The It’s Alive Show, Pittsburgh’s late night horror host program broadcast Saturdays at 10 PM Eastern on WBGN-TV with live streaming and 24/7 show replays on the web at www.theitsaliveshow.com. Mr. Menold’s character, Professor Emcee Square, is a zombie himself, and has been nominated for a 2007 Rondo Hatton Classic Horror award for Best Horror Host. In addition, Zombie Fest and the Monroeville Mall Zombie Walk have also been nominated for Rondos.
If you would like to be part of World Zombie Day, please email zombiefest@verizon.net. We are in the process of developing our web site and MySpace group and will publish that information when it is available.
Thank you.
