Hi. I came across this web site while doing research for the Dark Destinations database at TheCabinet.com (http://www.thecabinet.com/darkdestinations/index.php?sub_id=dark_destinations). It's a travel guide for macabre places and events. I'd heard of zombie walks but didn't know they were this wide spread. I wound up creating a specific category for zombie walks because of it.

I've done three entries for zombie walks so far. I thought I'd join the message board here and introduce myself so I could get more details on the various events.

My name is Tom Gleason. Night of the Living Dead (1968) is my favorite film of all time. I named my daughter after the actress who played Karen Cooper in the movie. I've never participated in a zombie walk, but I've designed and run haunted attractions for charity groups for years. I'm also one of the founders and lead psycho for Spinning Grave Productions (http://www.spinninggrave.com)(a bunch of maniacs who make odd little films). This past year my primary project has been creating a wiki-style database where people can both search for spooky places and events as well as write about them. We currently have close to 500 entries and the database continues to grow.

I recently wrote entries for the Richmond Virginia Zombie Walk (http://www.thecabinet.com/darkdestinations/location.php?sub_id=dark_destinations&display_*****=date_submitted&letter=all&location_id=richmond_virginia_zombie_walk), Washington DC Zombie Lurch (http://www.thecabinet.com/darkdestinations/location.php?sub_id=dark_destinations&display_*****=date_submitted&letter=all&location_id=washington_dc_zombie_lurch) and the Charlotte Zombie Walk (http://www.thecabinet.com/darkdestinations/location.php?sub_id=dark_destinations&display_*****=date_submitted&letter=all&location_id=charlotte_zombie_walk). With the wiki nature of the database any of these entries can be modified by anyone registered to the site.

That's about it in a nutshell.
