Hey gang.

Generation X Video & Media is sponsoring a Zombie Walk on October 27th, 2007.

The walk will be starting in Waterloo Park at the Seagram's Drive entrance at 3 pm on Saturday the 27th. We will then stagger over to Gen X for a photo op and then on to Ethel's lounge for brains and beer.

Gen X will be giving away some DVDs of the original Dawn of the Dead plus some of the newly released Night of the Living Dead 3D. They will also be paying for some of the beer and snacks at Ethel's!

I'll post more details as I get them arranged (maps and what not).

You can contact the store if you have any questions.

Okay, so here a list of bonus stuff that will be happening on the day of:

1) I've got some DVDs to give away of Night of the Living Dead 3D (glasses included) and the original Dawn of the Dead. I've also contacted the studios to see if they will give us some posters and swag. You may have to answer zombie trivia to win these.
2) Gen X will be giving all zombies a coupon good for 2 free rentals at the store.
3) We will be making a stopover at Whole Lot-a Gelata where all zombies can get a free brain-flavoured gelato.
4) Some of the snacks, drinks and pitchers at Ethel's will be covered as well by Gen X

Hope to see you there!

General Path of the Zombie Walk for Saturday, October 27th:

3 pm - We meet at the Seagram's Drive Entrance to Waterloo Park

3pm - 4pm - We stagger our way towards Whole Lot-a Gelata

4pm - 4:30pm - Head on over to Gen X for group photo

4:30pm - 5pm - Move on to Ethel's for snacks and drinks and prizes

Anchor Bay studio has been kind enough to give us a bunch of stuff to give away ranging from Mardi Gras beads to T-shirts for the upcoming DVD release movie "Hatchet". We also have at least a dozen free DVDs to give away as well.

If you miss the main group leaving at 3 pm, you can try and catch up with us and any of the locations we will be visiting.

If anyone has extra make-up, you can bring it along and if you manage to bite one of the normals then you can convert them into a zombie on the street. Please remember to ask nicely if they actually want to be made into a zombie. People not interested should not be harassed.

Amazingly, we have had calls from concerned parents who are worried that the Zombies will be too scary for their kids. Well, I certainly hope so but do try to show some restraint if small children are about. Let them know that zombies are people too. Undead, rotting people but people none the less.

All Zombies should please remember to cross the streets at traffic lights (waiting for them to turn green)

Hope to see you there.
