taken with liberties from wendy:
friends,
Saturday night October 20th will be the second ever zombie walk to hit the streets of boise! at 7pm, everyone that would like to participate should meet up at The Modern Hotel, get fueled up with liquid inspiration if you wish, and around 7-ish, we'll set out on a walk thru downtown boise. this experience is open to zombies of all ages.
the idea is to dress up in your own interpretation of "zombie", walk about with others, and present a bit of absurdity in this ever-increasingly absurd world.
in participating in boise's second walk, we'll be joining with an ever-growing movement of occasional zombie-walks thru streets of most of the major cities in the US and around the world. for a perspective on these other experiences, check out the website links listed on the profile. we'll be posting pictures and media in the Idaho thread after the walk. (if you take some yourself, please be in touch so we can combine them all together)
most importantly to me - this is about reflecting back a state of being - the zombie-somnambulist state that many people are coming out of but where some still remain - out to the world like a mirror . . . all the while having fun doing it.
where will the zombie walk end?? we'll end up at a zombie party in the east end, close to downtown. total walking time will be ~ about an hour and a half, give or take. main points of interest, and where human brains are at their weakest points will be: walk (creep, crawl, lurch, limp) through bodo, the grove, 8th street (zombies love the escalators on eighth street!). to parade our zombie pride we will also walk through the record exchange, the flying m, the courtyard of St. Lukes, and the cemetery (please no digging), the party is just on the other side of the cemetery off of Warm Springs, next to the Roosevelt Market.
join up in all your zombie amazingness and come to The Modern (14th and Grove) Saturday October 20th @ 7pm
MAP SOON TO COME!
