Everyone knows that the more people the better reaction. And being it only a week away from Halloween hopefully police officers will be better understanding.
I read in another post that Cary towne would be one place we could rampage, And since we are walking I dunno who would want to go where. All I thought was "The more people in the surrounding area the better."
Optional locations????
Carytowne
Unversity Campus (duuh)
Broad street(just parade all over)
Could also go further downtown
A thought my roomate came up with:
Short Pump mall
Regency Mall
Shopping Center on upper W. Broad near Horsepen RD?? ((He thinks it's called Willow Lawn Shopping center.))
I think he has the dawn of the dead stuck in his head.
Just throwing some stuff out there. I dunno what time limit is on this thing bah, oh well. Just trying to help.

carytown is the traditional starting point for the past couple of years.
other locations are still being considered and will be announced, but through experience we've discovered that walking as a zombie wears on you after a good hour or so of being in character. so we will be careful not to just drag ourselves in uninhabited areas for so long again..
shopping centers/malls are completely off limits in this town. in our inaugural year we were warned by the police, who made a point to come to our meeting spot. despite our many formal requests, we always get denied. so we don't try anymore.
there is no set time. we take as long as we need to stumble around.

Funsuckers...oh well. gotta give 'em Kudos though they're more protecting us then taking away our fun. Someone might actually take us seriously...

Yeah, I think the cops are just more legitimately worried about US. You gotta remember, Bible Belt states and silly christians vs evil pagans. =p

Yaaah, start tearing up the ombie victims there. We could always take fliers to the mall/shoping center of choice and explain to the mall security and management, tell them that they have right to watch us or even particiapate and walk through with us if they let us do it....
just a thought.

ok, just to nip this in the bud here and now.
last year i really wanted this to happen at a mall. so, i called several, talked with many people in management at the malls and was told the same thing: "we do not allow that type of activity on mall property, unless it is specifically sponsored by the mall itself". i was told by one mall that we could walk on the very outside perimeter of the mall property (not the actual mall property mind you) but we would still need permission.
so basically, they do not appreciate what we are doing, so we do not even need to bother with them.
malls will not happen (unless one of us becomes a mall manager)

Yep it's true... for those of you who weren't at the first Richmond walk, not only did they not appreciate what we were doing, they sent cops out to our meeting location to warn us that if we went to a mall we'd be arrested on the spot. So, unfortunately, malls (at least in Richmond) have yet to accept the walking rights that we zombies have been fighting for.
I have a dream...
