Pavia's short film Drag caught King's attention back in the '90s, and led to King letting Pavia helm the vampire cult favorite The Night Flier, an adaptation of King's story of the same name. In Drag, however, Pavia crafted a mini zombie epic with a kick-ass heroine that King praised as "the best short horror film I've seen in twenty years- smart, scary, and ferocious."
